North Greenwich is surrounded by greenery. In three minutes, you can walk along the River Thames or you can enjoy the small park on East Parkside right on our doorstep, and Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park is less than a five minute walk away from Scape Greenwich. Greenwich also has a lot to offer in the way of history. The area known as Maritime Greenwich is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for its historical attractions and landmarks. For an insight into Greenwich’s maritime past, The Royal Museums and Cutty Sark provide the perfect day out. At the Royal Observatory you can visit the site of the prime meridian, tour London’s only planetarium, and look through the UK’s largest telescope.
Scape is on the Greenwich peninsula, right next to the O2 arena and its bars, restaurants and world famous entertainment venue. Greenwich itself has a great range of markets, restaurants, shops and bars. A shopping park and large supermarket are also conveniently located nearby. Deptford, a short bus ride away, also provides a sense of community with its galleries, coffee shops and pubs. For fashion and shopping, the world-famous shopping district of Bond Street, Regent Street and Oxford Street are less than 20 minutes away. Or take the London Underground to Westfield Stratford City, Europe's largest shopping mall, and the journey is within eight minutes!
If you want to visit some of central London’s landmarks, many are easy to get to on the Jubilee line from North Greenwich tube station. Get off at Westminster for the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey. Near London Bridge is Borough Market – one of London’s top spots for local and international produce - within 15 minutes of North Greenwich station.
