Old Street London Underground station is a 3 minute walk from Scape Shoreditch. Many major universities are just a short journey away – you can reach King's College, London Metropolitan University, the Courtauld Institute of Art and Central St Martins in 15 minutes or less. Sightseeing

When you want to do some sightseeing, many of London’s famous landmarks are within easy reach. From Old Street Underground station you can reach the District Line at Monument. This line serves Westminster station, where you can find the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey. On this line you can also find Trafalgar Square (Embankment station), Buckingham Palace (St. James’s Park station), and the renowned museums of South Kensington – the Science Museum, V&A museum and the Natural History Museum.

It will only take you 15 minutes to get to the world-famous shopping district of Oxford Street and Bond Street. Westfield Stratford City, with 268 high street and designer stores, is located in Stratford and only 20 minutes from Scape Shoreditch.

If you want to get away from the city then it’s a short walk from Scape Shoreditch to Kings Square Garden. You can walk to Shoreditch Park, which also has football and rugby pitches, tennis courts and ping pong tables in just 10 minutes. 

Around the area

Shoreditch is an area famous for its art galleries, independent shops and nightlife. Much of the art scene is centred around Leonard Street, Redchurch Street and Rivington Place, for nightclubs and bars head towards Old Street and Brick Lane, and Hoxton. Brick Lane is better known for its market where you can pick up jewellery, vintage and one off items. There is such competition amongst the array of Bengali and Indian restaurants on this road that you can eat lunch or dinner for next to nothing! Just off Brick Lane on Hanbury Street, The Old Truman Brewery is a regular host to sample sales, exhibitions, fashion shows and other events. The undercover Spitalfields Market is a great spot for picking up clothing, accessories and artwork.
