Universities

The nearest accommodation available to Ravensbourne, Scape is about a 5-10 minute walk. Hop on the 188 or 129 bus to reach Trinity Laban, Greenwich School of Management, University of Greenwich, Bellerbys College and Embassy CES. North Greenwich Underground Station is very close by, and from here it’s no more than 20 minutes to City University, London South Bank University and UEA London. Greenery

In three minutes you can be beside the River Thames, and Scape itself is set in quiet parkland. Hop on the bus for beautiful Greenwich Park with its views into the financial district of London, or Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park is just moments from your home. Greenwich also has a lot to offer in the way of history. 

The area known as Maritime Greenwich is a UNESCO world heritage site, and this area is famous for its attractions and landmarks. For an insight into Greenwich’s maritime past, The Royal Museums and Cutty Sark provide the perfect day out. At the Royal Observatory you can visit the site of the prime meridian, tour London’s only planetarium, and look through the UK’s largest telescope.

Around the area

Scape is on the Greenwich peninsula, right next to The O2 arena and its bars, restaurants and world famous entertainment venue. Greenwich itself has a great range of markets, restaurants, shops and bars. A shopping park and large supermarket are also conveniently located nearby. Deptford, a short ride on the bus, also provides a sense of community with its galleries, coffee shops and pubs.

Sightseeing

If you want to visit some of central London’s landmarks, many are easy to get to on the Jubilee line from North Greenwich Underground station. Get off at Westminster for the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey. Green Park station serves Buckingham Palace, St James’s Park and Hyde Park. Near London Bridge station is Borough Market – one of London’s top spots for local and international produce. William Shakespeare’s Globe, The Shard, and the Tate Modern art gallery are also in this area. If you want to take in a view of London then you can reach the London Eye from Waterloo station, where you can also sample all the cultural offerings of the South Bank.

If shopping is more your thing then the world-famous shopping district of Bond Street and Oxford Street are less than 20 minutes away. Take the London Underground to Westfield Stratford City, and the journey is only eight minutes! With 268 high street and designer stores, Westfield is Europe’s largest shopping centre.
