Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park is one of London's most well known Christmas attractions. Full of rides, stalls, winter food and drink, ice sculptures, a christmas circus, a bar and a very festive ice skating rink. It has everything you could wish for in a Christmas attraction! Winter Wonderland is currently open every day (except for Christmasday) until the 3rd January 2016.

If you're not sure where to begin your shopping spree, here's a few suggestions for you; Oxford Street (home to Selfridges, John Lewis, Topshop, to name a few), Carnaby Street (the home of small boutiques), Regent Street (home of Liberty London and Hamleys), Westfields shopping centre (at both Stratford and Shepherds Bush) and if you have a little bit of extra cash to spend, head down to Bond Street or Kensington for those famous designer names.

Ice Skating
Get your skates on around London!
If you fancy something a bit more active than just walking around and admiring the pretty lights, why not try ice skating! There are a range of different outdoor ice rinks through out London including;
  • Hampton Court
  • Wembley Park
  • Canary Wharf
  • Tower of London
  • Natural History Museum

Two of the most popular ice rinks in town are Somerset House and 'Eye Skate' (which is in front of the London eye). Both of which are recommended to book online in advance.

Theatre
Wrap up with some festive shopping
After a busy day or sight-seeing, shopping, ice skating and maybe a few mulled wines here are there, what could be better than sitting down at the theatre. One of the most seemingly popular Christmas shows on in Lonodn at the moment is 'Elf the Musical' at the Dominion Theatre based on the iconic Christmas film 'Elf' featuring Will Ferrell. If it's famous names that get your attention, Jim Broadbent is staring at Ebenezer Scrooge in a supposedly 'upbeat' adaption of Charles Dickens's 'A Christmas Carol' at the Noel Coward Theatre until the 30th January 2016. If the bigger shows are a bit out of your price range, but you really fancy seeing a show, there are also a wide variety of different pantomimes across London that are bound to get you and your friends in the festive spirit.
